Hali a aloha (Cherished Memory) was sculpted at the Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel in Wailea Maui over a period of one year of beautiful sunsets, from a single 2,200 lb. piece of rainshower tree.

Cherished memory is the second sculpture in the Wailea mermaid series. The first was Alana (Awaken) with the baby turtle hatching in the mermaids hand.Hali a aloha is the moment when the baby turtle returns as an adult and they recognize each other, a cherished moment, a cherished memory.
