Conch Blower
The Conch Blower is a 7 ft. Bronze Sculpture depicting the legend of the Pu (shell) of Waikapu. A warrior had to earn the right to blow the shell. When blown could be heard from Waikapu to Hana, over 50 miles. The sculpture was installed in May 2006 outside the front entrance of the Frank Lloyd Wright designed clubhouse of the King Kamehameha golf Club, Waikapu Maui. The original sculpture was created in water base clay and then molded and cast in bronze.
